With the F.I.T.
closed to new applicants, the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) has been introduced as its replacement.
The Smart
Export Guarantee is a UK-based scheme that offers financial incentives to
owners of small-scale renewable generation technologies, including domestic
solar PV systems with a capacity of up to 5MW.
Who is SEG for?
Consumers who generate electricity using renewable sources are eligible to receive payments from suppliers under the SEG scheme.
The types of generation eligible are:
1. Wind Power
2. Solar Photovoltaic
3. Micro-combined Heat and Power
4. Hydro
5. Anaerobic Digestion
